A Garden Turned Dream Home
Some homes are built. Some are renovated. And some are lovingly cultivated over time until they become something that simply cannot be recreated.
For more than 15 years, 5364 Laura Belle Lane has been lovingly cultivated as a private garden retreat. The previous owner, a devoted gardener, poured years of care into the property, planting fruit trees, flowers, and vegetables and transforming the land into a beautiful garden sanctuary. The current owner fell in love with that vision and continued the tradition, investing significant care into both the garden and the home while preserving the character that had taken years to create.
Today, that garden is at the heart of a newly reimagined home—where the warmth of farm-style living meets the comfort and clean lines of modern architecture.
ONE-LEVEL LIVING in a home that underwent a complete top-to-bottom renovation in 2025, from the roof down to the crawl space. Nearly every major element was renewed, including a NEW ROOF, NEW HVAC, NEW WATER HEATER, NEW WINDOWS, NEW DOORS, NEW FLOORING, NEW BATHROOMS, NEW APPLIANCES, NEW FENCE, NEW SHED, and NEW LANDSCAPING.
The current owners thoughtfully transformed the property into the home they had always envisioned—a place where modern comfort, beautiful design, and the joy of gardening could come together. Every improvement was made with their own lifestyle in mind, and the home was truly created to be their perfect home. Unfortunately, life sometimes brings unexpected changes, and a move out of state means they now have the difficult decision to pass this special property on to its next owner.
Outside, the mature garden tells its own story. A magnificent cherry blossom tree welcomes spring with a spectacular display of blooms. Established fig trees offer fresh fruit year after year, while a mature peach tree brings another taste of summer. Colorful flowers and garden beds filled with vegetables create the feeling of a private countryside garden tucked into the heart of Fairfax.
Imagine stepping outside on a summer morning to pick fresh figs or peaches, gather vegetables from the garden, or simply enjoy your coffee beneath the cherry blossoms. These are the simple luxuries that make a house feel like home—and they cannot be created overnight.
And yet, this peaceful garden retreat is remarkably convenient. Located close to I-66, Route 123, VRE, Vienna Metro, bus stops, and George Mason University, the home is also minutes from Old Town Fairfax, with its restaurants, shops, concerts, community events, and farmers market.
This is more than a beautifully renovated house. It is the rare meeting of the irreplaceable character of a mature garden and the comfort of a thoroughly modern home. It is a piece of a life already beautifully lived—and a rare opportunity to continue the story.
